The Murder City Devils LP Reissues
Today marks the reissue of FOUR classic Murder City Devils albums. If you are a fan of this band, it is truly your lucky day. Sub Pop represses of “Empty Bottles, Broken Hearts”, “In Name And Blood”, “S/T”, and “Thelema” (previously a 10″, now a 12″) all hit the shelves today, and they are all on colored vinyl. If you can’t find them locally, you can basically take your pick of online stores. I would suggest VinylCollective.com, Interpunk.com, or direct from SubPop.com.
Also, if you happen to catch MCD on the road, you can buy all four records as part of the new “Feather Bed Whiskey Blanket” box set. In addition to the vinyl, each box also features photos and other random things (some have a painting, some have a 7″, some have a poster, etc etc). These are limited to 275, are pressed on exclusive white vinyl, and cost $150. The first set to hit eBay is already up to $275 with over five days left! before you go nuts buying one of the box sets off ebay keep in mind that the lp’s inside don’t have all the cool packaging like the lp reissues do but apparently just come in pretty plain looking sleeves.
Nick, not sure what you mean, i’ve seen five or six opened box sets and they each have the full LP covers including the full gatefold sleeve for In Name and Blood…
yeah I was wrong. My friend picked me up one from the show so I’m waiting for him to get home with it but initially he had told me that they were in plain sleeves but then i saw a few open and that’s not the case. I’m loving the bidding wars and fake bidders on ebay too. As a long time MCD fan it will be nice to add this to the collection.
