Pan•American – White Bird Release LP
Another fine release on Kranky. Pan•American is none other than Mark Nelson, who happens to be the singer/guitarist for a now defunct band called Labradford. Pan•American takes the minimal soundscapes of Labradford and injects them into his own unique brand of ambient-dub-techno-whatever. If you don’t like this type of stuff, this album isn’t going to change your mind, but if you do like it, White Bird Release is about as sublime as it gets. Purchase for $15 shipped at kranky.net.
