Amadou & Mariam “Welcome To Mali” 2xLP
I’ve been anxiously awaiting a vinyl release for this one, so it’s a happy day for me. I don’t listen to alot of “world music”, but blind couple Amadou & Mariam’s “Welcome To Mali” immediately caught my ear. It is funky, bluesy, has some awesome guitar playing, was partly produced by Damon Albarn, and it is just really, really good. I think you will like it. You can grab the 2xLP for $21 at Nonesuch.com.
