Pisces “A Lovely Sight” LP
Chicago’s Numero Group have taken a detour from their usual soul-based output to release this gem of an LP from Rockford, Illinois psychedelic rock band Pisces. Recorded in 1969, “A Lovely Sight” has been faithfully restored and released on vinyl for the first time (the music was previously only available on three ultra rare 45′s). This definitely takes heavy influence from The Beatles, The Velvet Underground, and the other big boys from the era, but their gritty midwest interpretation makes it essential listening for any psych fiend like myself.
