Yim Yames (also known as Jim James, also known as purveyor of the Peanut Butter Puddin’ Suhprize) has conjured up a solo EP (ie not with his bandmates My Morning Jacket) comprised of George Harrison cover versions. Sounds cool, right? It is kind of. Well you can preorder the limited edition vinyl, along with CD, t-shirt and digital files for the new album for $35 from yimyames.com. You’ll get the mp3s right away, so thats cool. Have to wait until August 4th or so for the vinyl. If you don’t want any of that other shit, and just crave the sweet, sweet vinyl then apparently you’ll have to wait a spell. All or nothing currently. Visit www.yimyames.com.

I own a record store in Yellow Springs, Ohio called Toxic Beauty Records. I just checked my distributor’s(AEC) website and they have a listing for the CD coming out on 8/4 but also has a different listing for the vinyl(same release date). The vinyl is listed as follows:
