Giant Squid “The Ichthyologist” 2xLP Preorder
Vega Vinyl has finally unleashed the preorder for Giant Squid’s “The Ichthyologist”. This one is a 2xLP, pressed in three different colorways: Marbled Green / Marbled Orange (stamped/numbered edition of 100), Marbled Blue / Marbled Flesh (edition of 150), and Black (edition of 250). This stuff is pretty hard to describe, but it has elements of stoner/doom bands like Neurosis, but with some characteristics that smooth it out a bit (some female vocals, cello, etc). Basically, it’s good, that’s all you really need to know. You can listen to some tunes at their Myspace page, then preorder for $21 at VegaVinyl.com.
