If you missed out on this amazing album on the first pressing, you need to do yourself a favor (and quickly). The 2nd pressing comes on white vinyl, no longer 180 grams but still housed in a heavy-duty Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket. A really nice package and an absolutely stunning listen on the vinyl format. Also starting to show its oddly shaped head at your favorite record store is the recent Beacons of Ancestorship Remixes EP (part of the Thrill Jockey 12″ Subscription Series) featuring a remix apiece from Eye (of Boredoms) and Mark Ernestus (of Basic Channel fame). The initial pressing of Beacons sold out with a quickness, don’t kid yourself that this one won’t as well. If you slept the first time, don’t hesitate – and might as well pick up those remixes while you’re at it, son. Both are currently sold out at the label but available at forcedexposure.com.
