Sounds like Leyland Kirby, aka The Caretaker, has been feeling a bit glum lately. Maybe been listening to too much death ambient? I’m not even going to quote any of the press releases on this one, because it’s Friday night and I don’t want to ruin it for anybody who might be having a good time. I’ll just sum it up for you by saying that this is apparently the perfect soundtrack for the most depressing night of your life – which will probably be whatever night you decide to spin this. All snide comments aside, this really does sound amazing, and it is just the first double LP in a planned set of 3 (three!) double LPs. That is going to be a lot of melancholy to digest, my sad friend. Feeling up to it? Of course you are.
