Altar of Plagues “White Tomb” LP

Its been a little while since I’ve come across a fierce metal release that I can really get behind. This Irish black metal, post-rock hybrid is certainly doing the trick for me currently – epic song lengths, lots of blast beats and loud guitars with heaps of melody hidden under all the terror and gloom. Think you can handle that? What’s more, I believe I hear the vocalist from the now defunct Graves at Sea on at least one of these tunes – that never hurts. Currently available to order in Europe from the band’s webstore. Profound Lore in the U.S. Canada should be a getting a few copies of this eventually but since it is limited to a scant 300, with 100 on colored vinyl already sold out, I figured I had better write it up. Pick up a copy now at altarofplagues.bigcartel.com.

UPDATE: Copies now available from Profound Lore, they even have a few copies on orange vinyl!
