Oh man, I totally had something clever to say about this crushing metal record, but I really can’t compete with this description:  “THE ATLAS MOTH TAKE THEIR BLUESY HOMETOWN ROOTS AND COMBINE THAT WITH NEW ORLEANS STYLE SLUDGE & 60s PSYCHEDELIA. GRITTY AND RAW, YET THOUGHT OUT AND INSIGHTFUL. IF YOU GREW UP LIVING IN A SWAMP, WEARING A BLACK SABBATH T-SHIRT, AND EATING NOTHING BUT FRIED CHICKEN, THIS IS YOUR BAND.” So true, so true.  “A Glorified Piece of Blue Sky” is beyond heaaaavy, and they are about to go out on tour with my other new favorite doom metal band, Dark Castle.  The 2xLP can be ordered now for £14.99, and I have no idea if it will ever show up in the USA (it probably will, I just don’t know much about this Back on Black label).  If you can’t wait (like me), visit Plastichead.com.
