Ólafur Arnalds “Found Songs” and “Dyad 1909″ 10″s
Two new(ish) 10-inch pieces of vinyl from Ólafur Arnalds, who is from Iceland. Like many musicians from Iceland, he makes very pleasant and achingly beautiful music. Like many musicians from Iceland who make this kind of music, he has done a stint opening for Icelanders extraordinaire, Sigur Rós. Found Songs is a collection of songs which were recorded one a day for seven days, each of which was subsequently posted onto Arnalds’ Twitter account (never heard of it either). You can read more about that and download the album for free right here. Dyad 1909 was not recorded in seven days, nor posted to anyone’s Twitter account. Both 10″s are available to purchase from erasedtapes.com. Found Songs here and Dyad 1909 here. Enjoy!
