Oh No “Dr. No’s Ethiopium” 2xLP
I’ve pretty much been pacing the room like a maniac waiting for the vinyl release of Oh No’s “Dr No’s Ethiopium”, and it looks like I can finally relax. Here’s the rundown: Oh No (Madlib’s brother) made this record with help from Egon’s massive record collection. It was “inspired-by and sampled-from rare 60′s and 70′s Ethiopian funk, jazz, folk, soul, and psychedelic rock”. There are 36 tracks here, most of them just under two minutes long (think Jay Dee’s Donuts). If you like your rare grooves with a little bit of head-nod, this one is for you. The 2xLP is $18.98.
