At last, the long overdue vinyl coronation of this stone-cold doom fusion classic from Southern Lord drone group Ascend. If you didn’t know, that’s Gentry Densley from Eagle Twin and Greg Anderson from Sunn. Given the pedigree of the two musician’s involved, you could guess that this album holds it’s fair share of richter magnitude drones, what you might not expect is just how far out a spaceship this heavy can take you. I won’t ramble on, this one has been out long enough that most people know what the grooves here hold in store. Add two extra songs to the vinyl edition and the usual high-spec packaging from Southern Lord, and ya’ll are set.
