Guanaco “Sky Burials” LP

Another slow-burning bedroom psych record sneaks up on me out of nowhere, pushing a whole slew of music I meant to write about to the “I’ll do it later” pile. Yeah, yeah – we throw the term “slow-burning bedroom psych” around a bit here, but I don’t know how else to describe artists like Six Organs of Admittance and our friend These Wonderful Evils. Add Guanaco to the list of revered musicians who occupy this realm, his debut LP Sky Burials is a heady blend of foreboding acoustic passages and smoldering drones. Currently available at fusetronsound.com, forcedexposure.com and I believe you can still pick up copies at the label – blackest-rainbow.com.
