Kawabata Makoto & Michishita Shinsuke “Maru Sankaku Shikaku” LP
We’ve posted a few records from Prophase before, and since they were kind enough to send us a few samples from their catalog, we thought we would be kind enough to let you in on a record we have been keeping to ourselves. Kawabata Makoto and Michishita Shinsuke are from Acid Mothers Temple and LSD March respectively, so you can imagine I cannot finish out this review without writing the word “psychedelic”. To be a bit more precise, the two minstrels use traditional Japanese folk instruments on this recording to map out “new psychic territorial landscapes”. In other words, pretty straightforward stuff from these two. 500 copies for $20 on pretty blue/green swirled vinyl at prophasemusic.com.
