Whitesand/Badlands “Blank Czech / Humans #1″ 7″

Another seriously underrated record hit my doorstep for review this week, this time from Minneapolis’ Whitesand/Badlands.  Hard to classify this one as anything but good, it’s got elements of pop, indie rock, and some pretty serious experimentation.  You can tell some of the people involved probably used to play more explorative music, then grew up, settled down, and started playing beautiful music.  The 7″ is housed in a jacket by one of my favorite MPLS artists, Casey Deming, and it’s a nice sounding little slab.  You can get one for $6 shipped at RileyBushman.com.
