Carpark Records has been responsible for some unbelievably consistent and inventive pop music lately (think Toro Y Moi, Dan Deacon, Beach House, etc), and their upcoming release by Chicago’s Light Pollution keeps the bar high. There are hints of about a million influences in their sound, but ultimately they somehow come off sounding quite original.
