Brand New Brother Raven and Svarte Greiner LPs on Digitalis

Our good friends at Digitalis have even more hyper-limited LPs to offer you.  Brother Raven is the musical duo of Jason Anderson and Jamie Potter.  “VSS-30″ is a space-age journey through modern synthesizer music.  It was 100% improvised and recorded directly to tape, preserving the warmth that works so well with screaming synthesizers.  I know we bring these names up a lot, but if you like the current synth heavyweights like Oneohtrix Point Never or Stellar Om Source, you’re bound to find this stuff appealing as well.  The LP has an edition of 300 and comes in a screenprinted jacket for $15.  Visit DigitalisIndustries.com.

UPDATE: We have some copies of the Svarte Greiner LP for sale on the Sweat Lodge Guru distro page.

The second new offering is by Norway’s Svarte Greiner, a frequent contributor to the well-respected Type label.  “Penpals Forever (& Ever)” is a dark, dusty ride through aural experimentation.   Truly sinister vibes here with no comfort being offered whatsoever.  This kind of shit will freak out most uneasy passersby, but If you’re of sound mind and body, this one is also $15 at DigitalisIndustries.com.

  1. Nice. Ordered both of ‘em. I’ve never heard Brother Raven, but if you’re comparing them to Oneohtrix, they have to be worth checking out. I’ve been very impressed with Svarte Greiner’s stuff so far, so I’m looking forward to hearing this new LP.

  2. All Digitalis vinyl is good vinyl. Also, spooky ambient rules.
