Tape Tuesday: Dante Augustus Scarlatti “Hemispheres of Desolation” Cassette
I’ll go ahead and make this claim, no tape label can match Auris Apothecary’s visual aesthetic. Release after release, their design and packaging continues to inspire awe. “Hemispheres of Desolation” by Dante Augustus Scarlatti is a long, dense, dark drone cassette. It’s split into two “hemispheres”, each 55 minutes in length. You won’t find much sunlight here, but it’s a completely top notch piece of shadowy experimentalism. It’s limited to 99 copies, comes in a printed case and sleeve, and costs $10 shipped. Visit Auris Apothecary.

Good call. This tape is immense. And I’ll back you up on your claim. Auris is a one of a kind label.
