Two New Vinyl Releases from Translinguistic Other Recordings
We just received two stunning new psych records from Translinguistic Other. The first is “Eyes All Around” from Midday Veil. This band can be tough to categorize, but psychedelia is the overriding theme, whether searing and fast or slow and moody (check out the videos below for the contrast). Throw in Emily Pothast’s sultry vocals and an informed krautrock influence and you’ve got a total winner here. The LP comes on white vinyl, has an edition of 500, and costs $15 at Translinguistic Other.
Their second new release is actually a compilation for Record Store Day. Curated by Seattle’s Portable Shrines Collective, “Portable Shrines Magic Sound Theatre Vol. 1″ pretty much runs the gamut of modern psychedelic bands. The lineup includes Eterrnal Tapestry, Prince Rama, Brother Raven, AFCGT, and more. All turn in rare or unreleased tracks. The 2xLP is limited to 1000 copies and costs $24 at the same spot, Translinguistic Other.
