Non Projects doesn’t put out a whole lot of records, but they’ve got an incredible knack for finding exciting, interesting, worthwhile projects. They make sure every record they release is screaming for wide exposure. They are simply one of the most underrated labels on earth. Fitting then that their newest, Rarebit’s “Daizo”, is something pretty special. There’s much more to Justin Hopkins’ work than that of your average beatmaker. Hopkins works as a conductor here, curating and arranging an amazing set of musicians and samples into something greater than the sum of its parts. He makes many of his contemporaries sound boring, straight up. Support where support is due. The LP can be preordered for $15 from Non Projects.
