Barn Owl “From Our Mouths A Perpetual Light” LP Reissue + More from Not Not Fun

The reissue of Barn Owl’s early opus, “From Our Mouths A Perpetual Light”, is pretty huge in our eyes, as we’ve both spent a good amount of time tracking down copies in the past. The album is, no exaggeration, one of the best drone/psych LPs to come out in the past half-decade. They’ve gotten a lot more popular in the three years since this was released, but it stands as tall as anything they’ve done since. If you’re into the dark, experimental music that we peddle daily here, consider this absolutely essential. It was repressed on white vinyl in a final edition of 350 and costs $12 at

The second new release from NNF comes courtesy of San Francisco’s Jonas Reinhardt. “Music For The Tactile Dome” brings the same spacey, kraut-y brand of psychedelia that won fans over after his album on Kranky last year. He’s added drummer Damon Palermo (Mi Ami), bassist Diego Gonzalez (Citay, 3 Leafs), and guitarist Phil Manley (Trans Am, more) to the mix, boosting his aesthetic to full-fledged mind meld. The LP is limited to 650 copies and costs $12 at

  1. This is one vinyl release I was praying that NNF would reissue and they finally did it. Needless to say, I’m ecstatic. I didn’t know that they repressed it on white vinyl, that’s pretty sweet.

  2. Tried to order it on the NNF site, but I don’t see it listed anywhere?

  3. I grabbed this and the Umberto 7″ yesterday… Looks like its sold out already Gary at NNF or its not on their website anymore 🙁 that went quick

  4. Keep an eye on Vacation vinyl webstore, they normally stock NNF releases.

  5. Ordered a copy yesterday–got an email from NNF that the repressing was black only.

  6. boomkat’s got them in stock

  7. It went up at Forced Exposure yesterday. It’s $16 and still available. I think I’m gonna give in considering I’m still bitter about missing out on the last two Grouper LP’s.
