Entry number two is none other than the classic (indeed) 90′s recording Cure for Pain by everyone’s favorite saxophone wielding alternative rock trio Morphine. Don’t bother. I just brought this home from the shop I work at and it sounds like crap. No high end at all. Super muffled. Sounds like they rolled it off at 8k. Garbage. Vinyl reissues are great when done right. This one was not. Sad. It’s not that hard to get it right.
sounds like the copy of Mr Bungle – California i got in december. was so muffled and crappy… no test prints??

You people are crazy– this sounds great. I was biting my lip after ordering this, going on vacation, then coming back to the site and seeing these comments… but you’re wrong.
An update to my earlier post. I had posted about this on Light In The Attic’s page and they immediately got in touch with my and offered to send me a new copy, even though I didn’t buy it direct. They even covered the postage of the bum one back to them. MY NEW COPY SOUNDS GREAT! Hopefully it was a one off and not a problem with the stampers. If you’ve got one that sounds like that, email them and they will get it taken care of. Top notch service from LITA. There are so many labels who don’t care and so many dodgy new LPs out there that one can get cynical. It’s killer when people actually care. Now if only they’ll do a pressing of Good…
