Parallel Lines “White Fur /// Black Cathedral” LP
Buy vinyl. Save polar bears.
Oaken Palace Records is a new imprint with a fairly simple vision, 100% of proceeds from the label go directly to an environmental charity. That’s swell and all, but what is a record label without great music, regardless of what causes we might support when we buy in? Luckily, Sven from Oaken Palace has got a great roster of artists in his stable, premiering the label and its mission with Parallel Lines, a group featuring members of thisquietarmy, Electroluminescent, and others. On White Fur /// Black Cathedral, the group traces a slow-moving trajectory into twin pulsars of improvised sound. Guitar, synths and drums propel a gradual drift past calming vistas of cosmic proportions. Definitely a set for the armchair crowd, and infinitely enjoyable via the nuances of analog sound. Stream below and purchase digitally at oakenpalace.bandcamp.com. However, it’s in our nature to unabashedly recommend that you buy this on vinyl. £15 for 1 in an edition of 300 on 180 gram white vinyl at oakenpalace.bigcartel.com.
