Quiet Evenings, the husband-wife duo of Grant Evans (Nova Scotian Arms) and Rachel Evans (Motion Sickness of Time Travel), have been creating some incredibly exciting drone/ambient music over the past year or so, mostly for release on cassette. “Intrepid Trips” marks the first time they’ve ventured into vinyl, and to keep this brief, it’s great, well worth your money, etc. I first heard this album when it was released on cassette at SXSW and instantly ranked it among their best collaborative work yet. They sprung for the pressing on their own dime, releasing it on their in-house Hooker Vision imprint. It comes on purple vinyl, is limited to 300 copies, and costs $18 shipped. Give them your support over at Hooker Vision.
